My senior thesis is an autobiographical comic book titled MECA and ME: A Four Year Journey. It is about my experience at Maine College of Art. The focus of the story is on the anxiety I developed throughout my time at the school and how I have learned to control it. I decided to make my characters anthropomorphic cats because I am able to use exaggerated antics and expressions that combine human desires with feline cunning. This allows me to explore a wide range of emotions that helps to tell the story in an engaging and humorous way.

This Project was done for my Narrative Illustration class at college. In this self directed assignment I produced a thirteen page comic about anthropomorphic cats that run an underground sex slave ring. The main character, Ursula, who is the skinny black and white cat, has decided she's had enough of that kind of life and attempts to escape.
